Ionautics specialises in High-Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HiPIMS). This technique produces thin-films with improved properties (smoother, denser…). Ionautics produces the necessary hardware to convert standard DC sputtering systems to HiPIMS. The HiPSTER pulser is able to drive existing DC power supplies. Ionautics also provides a range of coatings (DLC, ITO, etc.) produced by the HiPIMS method and is eager to collaborate or provide the R&D capability to develop new coatings on behalf of customers.
